Blue Marble University Medical School offers a 3 year online Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree. Our program is not for the practice of medicine, but rather, for use in non-clinical careers. Just like any other non-licensed physician, graduates of the Blue Marble University Medical School enter careers in medical management, the insurance industry, the pharmaceutical industry, corporate medicine, and various regulatory agencies. At Blue Marble University Medical School, you will learn the language of medicine and be able to write effectively within peripheral medical care environments.
Blue Marble University Medical School M.D. Degree Not for Clinical Practice
We offer an Executive Style M.D. degree (Doctor of Medicine) for use in medical careers that do not involve patient care. As clearly stated on our website:
Notice: The MD degree issued by Blue Marble University Medical School can never be used for physician licensing purposes, to satisfy any education requirements for licensing as a physician or other health care provider, or for any career or profession involving direct patient care. In the USA and most countries, it is illegal to hold oneself out as a licensed physician unless one is in fact licensed.
For U.S. and Canadian students, what this means is:
That you will not qualify to sit for (take) any U.S. medical licensing exams.
You cannot transfer any of our credits to any program leading to any health care license such as nurse or physician’s assistant, nor to any other medical school.
You cannot use our program, degree, or courses for any licensed health care profession.
You do not qualify for any clinical rotations or training.
You cannot become a physician treating patients.
Other Countries: We are not expert on the rules and regulations for other countries including non-western countries, such as India or African countries. Whether our M.D. degree could qualify you for additional clinical training in your country leading to eventual licensure as a practicing physician is something you will need to investigate. However, our MD degree is not intended for any such purpose.
What is the purpose of our M.D. degree: Our M.D. degree trains you in the medical arts for rewarding careers in Medicine that do not involve direct patient care one-on-one. Graduates are on the same footing as any other unlicensed graduate of a traditional medical school that chose not to take any licensing exam nor to complete clinical training.
