Recent Review from a January 2026 Graduate

Editor’s Note: From time to time some of our graduates are kind enough to leave us a nice note upon graduation from the Blue Marble University Medical School, still offering a 3-year executive style Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree. With no clinical rotations offered or permitted, our graduates are on the same footing as other non-licensed MD’s who elected not to take the licensing exams or pursue further laborious clinical training. Here, from a graduate of our program, is a much appreciated note about its value:

Dear Faculty and Registrar of Blue Marble University Medical School:
As I begin the New Year and receive my graduation materials, I wanted to take a moment to write to all of you together and express my sincere gratitude for the education, guidance, and generosity I experienced throughout the program.

I am currently in Thailand, and the timing of this graduation has been especially meaningful. Shortly after the New Year, I accompanied a patient in acute distress to Samut Prakan Hospital, a public hospital here. The experience was striking—not only for the professionalism and efficiency of the medical staff, but because it felt as though the curriculum itself had come vividly to life outside the textbooks.

From triage and vital assessment, to record-keeping, prioritization of emergency cases, laboratory work, imaging, and clinical decision-making, I could see reflections of nearly every course I had taken. Within the first hours, ultrasound and CT imaging were performed to evaluate acute cholecystitis with choledocholithiasis, and careful monitoring followed. The organization, staffing, and responsiveness—especially during nighttime hours—were impressive, and particularly so in a publicly funded system.

Having studied Epidemiology and Biostatistics (at the Medical School), I was surprised to realize how common this condition is, with thousands of cholecystectomies reportedly performed daily in the United States. Observing such comprehensive care delivered here, without the financial barriers so often seen elsewhere, left a deep impression on me. Even compared to European public systems I know well, the immediacy of care stood out.

I want to sincerely thank each of you for the close attention you gave to my work, the thoughtful feedback, and the willingness to share perspectives drawn from your own professional experience—insights that simply cannot be found in textbooks alone. From carefully selected texts, to lectures and videos, the program provided me with strong foundations and intellectual discipline.

I am deeply grateful to Dr. Drake for creating this University and making a rigorous medical education accessible in an online format, and to the Registrar and staff for their constant professionalism and support. Although the program is virtual, the sense of connection and mentorship has been very real.

As I move forward, I am excited to continue expanding my knowledge, engaging in research, and providing guidance to those in need. I have recently launched a health consulting platform, which I hope to continue developing over time….

Though we may be geographically dispersed, we remain connected—intellectually, professionally, and perhaps even electromagnetically. My best wishes and sincere thanks go to all of you at Blue Marble University for the New Year and the years ahead.
